Philosophy of the Keexzus, No. 21: Creative Destruction

[December 29, 2014]

Artists cannot wait for divine inspiration or its synthetic alternative. Creation refines all tools. Get on stage. Say your verse. Do not wait to create. This is the paradigm to work from. Essentially, believe everything that you do is a fucking masterpiece. Know what you want to create, always. There is no turning back once you find your purpose. Once you have it, it will drive everything you do forever. Does Kobe wait for the perfect shot? Fuck no. He just keeps shooting because he knows winning is everything. I am taking the shot. I am putting Santanero on my back right now. Like, it’s time to go now. It’s time to become the revolutionaries we know we can be. Here’s the sense of urgency. See the iceberg above water. The submariners know the depth below. From that peace, from that stillness, you cannot afford to believe in luck. You cannot believe that you are cut from a different cloth. You cannot believe in giving a shit about what the past matters. The only way to hone any skill to mastery is endless perfect practice. Practice like there’s a gun to your head. Like it matters. Like it’s you’re only purpose for living. Create on the level of gods
